Hypnosis creates a slightly altered state that clients describe as very relaxing.
Research, such as a 2016 study by Dr. David Spiegel of Stanford, has shown that this specific slightly altered state allows parts of the brain to communicate that don't normally talk to each other. while these parts of the brain cooperate, your brain can spontaneously solve deep seated issues. There are still a lot of myths out there about hypnotherapy but I can assure you that hypnosis is completely safe, very gentle and a reliable method for achieving change that will last, especially if you include regression hypnotherapy in your programme. How Many Hypnosis Sessions Will You Need? What exactly your programme will look like depends on what issue you want to resolve with hypnosis. If you are looking to stop smoking your programme typically encompasses just one or possibly two sessions. If you are looking to dismantle a different addiction, you are looking at possibly three to four sessions. Hypnotherapy is highly effective for anxiety and depression also. How many sessions are required to dismantle this issue completely will be different for every individual. Your speed of recovery will depend- among other factors, on how well you take to hypnosis (some people need a little practice before they can fully trust and let go), and on how complex your issues are. Overall, however, hypnotherapy will always be short term therapy. Programmes are typically between one and five sessions in length. After that time, you can be sure to see substantial change. |
